Victory Ashaka is an award-winning spoken word poet, youth advisor to the European Union, Lagos state youth ambassador, climate leader, poetry slam champion, global youth ambassador of Theirworld, and a member of the young people’s action team of UNICEF Generation Unlimited. Victory is a graduate of English Literature from Lagos State University and a certified leadership fellow from the Management Institute of Finland in Helsinki. He is a poet laureate featured at UNICEF HQ, FAO HQ, the United Nations, TEDx platforms, the Italian Consulate, and the British Deputy High Commission.

Youth Advisor to the European Union
Victory Ashaka serves as the Vice Chairperson of the European Union Youth Sounding Board in Nigeria. In this role, he provides strategic insights on key areas shaping EU programs, such as the green and digital economy, human development, governance, and peace and security. He plays a pivotal role in guiding implementing partners to align their activities with the EU’s mandate, ensuring impactful and sustainable outcomes across various sectors.

UNICEF Generation Unlimited Young People's Action Team Member
As a member of UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited Young People’s Action Team, Victory Ashaka combines creative expression and strategic action to drive meaningful social impact. Through visual art and performance poetry, he advocates for change and inspires young people to become environmental stewards. In Lagos State and New York, Victory has developed and implemented youth-focused initiatives, championing education, digital inclusion, and skill development. Collaborating with a dedicated team, he amplifies the voices of young people, ensuring their needs and aspirations are prioritized in transformative projects.

Lagos state youth ambassador
As the Lagos State Youth Ambassador and Team Lead for the Badagry Division, Victory Ashaka led a team of ambassadors to organize impactful projects centered on social development. He convened the Mega Changemakers Conference, empowering over 1,000 changemakers, and facilitated training sessions on citizenship, volunteering, and leadership to equip young people with the skills to become active and responsible citizens. Representing the youth in his division, Victory spearheaded pet projects dedicated to fostering community growth and development.
