In 2022, Victory Ashaka emerged as the Official World Food Forum 2022 Poet. It was a remarkable feat to have been invited to the Food And Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations Headquarters in Rome, Italy. From 17-21 October, the FAO Director-General convened Heads of State, Government and Policy Makers, together with youth, non-governmental actors and the private sector to the Flagship Event of WFF, with the theme “Healthy Diets; Healthy Planet.” He graced the stage and performed the official World Food Forum poetry on the theme at the opening ceremony before world leaders. Also, he performed another piece on climate change at the youth concert and at the closing ceremony to support the mission of FAO to ensure global food security and transform our agrifood systems.
